Ph.D. Program

Doctoral studies in psychology are offered by the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University. The studies last four years and are highly individualised. Their main objective is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary in science. Although the main emphasis is on scientific competence, the studies develop skills that are helpful in a wide range of qualified jobs outside of science, too. These studies are available to every student who has fulfilled the following requirements:

  • has a second degree diploma in psychology or another closely related discipline;
  • has consent from a professor affiliated with the Faculty to supervise his/her studies and the preparation of the doctoral thesis;
  • passes an entry screening, i.e. has an essay accepted pertaining to the future doctoral project and passes an interview in the area of interest.

The Faculty also offers a doctoral program in English - CogNeS.
